THE GREAT DIVIDE

THE GREAT DIVIDE

My mind must cross the great divide
To get where I want to be
The great precipice, that separates;
My chance of being free
Standing at the edge, paralyzed
I saw danger on every side
I can't stand here, forever
I must make a move, decide
I tell myself; Take a leap
And even if you fall;
It's better to have tried and failed
Then to not have tried at all
So I gathered , up my courage
Measured the distance with my eye
Ran headlong and took a leap
And discovered I could fly
