Poem -

The hornets nest

People will try to tell youĀ
It's not okay to die.
But what I have to sayĀ
Is You know that I've tried.

I've decided in my timeĀ
To cross the devide,
But without the focus on a soulĀ
That carries to another side.

My reside will be blacknessĀ
From which all things come.
Into existence I neverĀ
Wished once.

The trouble starts with the hornets nest.
Hornets don't rest.
They're beasts.
On us they will feast, if you let it.

They come sharp as deathĀ
To rescue from sleepĀ
You think is the real dealĀ
Of coping with Doing your best.

They come when you're unawareĀ
Or as you stare into abyss.
They never come in single file,
Reach over a mileĀ

To find and devour. You've neverĀ
Tasted trouble like this.

Sound to me like a challenge to your reader, I guess your first stanza is relatable to many, as I have a brother who chose to leave the world, he was only 25, and no matter how many times I write it or speak of it, it still leaves a pain in my soul, your imagery speaks of a cloud of sorts perhaps hovering over a dark cloud, it also speaks of this challenge of whether to accept or dismiss. Your last lines are fab, for me it's a warning to the darkside, that no matter what happens you will be able to find the light 🌹

I like that you've mentioned I might beĀ insecure.Ā Not enough people have said this to me, but since I also I like to talk about myself, I'll stop while ahead. Just that your words carry weight with me is all.

Sometimes I can feel a little stoopid, but mostly I've trained myself to not care lol

What I find here is a perfect midnight read for the troubled soul... it is midnight here also .... the air thick with hornets. X
