The Human Struggle

The Human Struggle

The humans were all bunked down,Β
In trenches they did stand,
Guns at the ready, hope in their hearts,Β
They had drawn a line in the sand.

In the far distance, a row of smoke appeared,
The fully weaponized werewolves, a sight that humans feared,
Running down from Drop Ships, they were heading down their way,
The humans activated camouflaged shields, unique to their DNA.

The werewolves began to open fire, as they sensed the humans near,
Explosions were seen all around; they could hear a battle cheer,
But the humans dug their feet in, and returned some fire too,
It is also hard to fight, when your friends are blown in two.

Appearing out of nowhere, a Drop Ship dumped its crew,
The humans and werewolves stopped fighting, because both of them knew,
They’d have to work together, to stop this new onslaught,
So side by side in allies, the humans and werewolves fought.

Amongst all the shooting and the smoke, a blur sometimes was seen,
A pause after a kill revealed, a shiny razor-ed gleam,
The vampires had no weapons; their blades were all they need,
The razors were wired into their veins, a kill would mean they’d feed.

The battleground was littered, dead bodies all around,Β
But soon the Vampires rallied, as they approached without a sound,
They wanted the shields the humans had, invisible it made them,
Even with their sensors, the humans still could blend.

High above the war zone, a werewolf ship had come,
As they lowered down in altitude, to commence their bombing run,
Everyone started to scatter, to avoid this maelstrom,Β
Armour piercing plasma fire, and a massive UV bomb.
