The Ides Of March

The Ides Of March

Aren't  we tired of all this doom and gloom?
come to my paradise - no elephant in the room;
no floods, no virus, welcome to being one of us,
we know that we're transitory - so why all the fuss?

We may as well remember exactly what we like,
before the 15th - when disaster might strike,
that was the Roman calendar - when Caeser died,
now it's our time, let me be your spiritual guide,

What were your best times? Wow, did you do that?
When no devils on your shoulders sat,
It's etched forever, no one can take it away,
plant yourself back there - a memory for today.

We will go on, nothing can stand in our way,
those ides will be crushed, not divide us, hooray!

Being Me

Oh, beware the ides of March...or maybe not! I am loving the positivity in this!
