The Lamentations of a queen - Part one

The Lamentations of a queen - Part one

Sir loyal heart ! how you make me proclaim
My virtue before the world, in vain
you leave me a crumpled rag, in pain
but never shall i treat you with disdain
I lay here amongst the ashes of time
Lamenting over this misfortune of mine
but i still creep in shadow as does the vine
to get closer to my devine
alas ! i am without the sun
Though babes by you have come and gone
you blame me for their souls moving on
but you cannot deny we are joined as one
God ! will judge you in the end
you leave me in The Moore with no friend!
despite my willingness to bend
to your will, to whatever hell it sends
No Sir ! you are too unkind
But still at prayer you are on my mind
Jesu beseech you to send me a sign
that my lord and master will again be mine
Sweet Mary mother of precious child
oh holy lady please be kind
i am on my knees begging you to keep me in mind
i am old, and weary of this hurt of mine
You abuse me sir and banish me so
but to the ends of the earth i could go
and you would still be told
i am your true wife ! body and soul !
So GO! to your harlot, your merry whore
You will then see what she has in store
She wont give you what you're searching for
You will lament this age forevermore
