The Land Of Milk And Honey

The Land Of Milk And Honey

We drove through sunlight to Mont-Aux-Sources,
the moment lived illuminated like a tour-de-force;
we have them indelibly etched when you just listen,
paused, photographed, there, never to be forgotten.

Down to the valley, the eagles waited, destiny fated,
do you hear me, I want you near, such longing sated;
the climate eased your insecurity, wrapped delightfully,
so that the level rose and fell, even, comfortably.

I rode Pegasus with outstretched wings, floating,
he grinned and said: 'I told you so,' gloating,
'that here you will do as I tell you, unreservedly,
when such is thus, you will live forever, mystically.'

The rainbows appeared on every door, God's door,
they said; 'Be grateful, do not wish for any more.'
