The Leaves Of Grasp
One day while on an appraisal, to assess a work of art;
I was warned about a little Yorkie, that got mad when you’d depart!
My client said he loved company, and would kiss you if you stayed;
But his personality would change drastically, if you tried to go away!
.
He looked so small and innocent, weighed no more than just five pounds;
He laid quietly as we did business, made not even one small sound!
I made her a nice cash offer, for the painting on the wall;
She eagerly accepted it, for her, a large windfall!
.
I counted out ten Ben Franklins, and took my purchase down;
I started walking toward the front door, to head back into my town!
I felt something grasp my ankle, just beneath my Achilles;
I had forgotten her admonishment, little dog drew blood from me!
.
.
Though he be little
He was dangerously fierce

Dear Angel,
Sometimes, you have to stay on, "The Sunny Side Of The Street".
All joking aside, sounds like your bite was much worse than mine. It must have been administered by a much larger doggie than five pounds.
Thank you for this "not too funny" story.
Sometimes, even though we love them, we have to "Beware of the Dog".
Hugs, Peace and Love,
