The Life Class

The Life Class

I was earning my hourly fee for a bit of nudity,
sitting still for so long could be too much for me,
I thought of many things, exposed to the world,
tried not to move while my private parts were curled.

I thought of Ogden Nash and his alliteration,
not to mention having a laugh with Ranganathan,
then there was Rodin with the classic 'Thinker' pose,
something in common as we both had no clothes.

Da Vinci and Michaelangelo dissecting numerous muscles,
I shuddered when I thought it could have been 'cockles,'
The 'David' stretched tall with barely a modest fig leaf,
couldn't look at my watch as time dragged like a thief.

Finally, I was caught on canvas, now it was done,
I could only hope that I was going to be well hung.
