The little street urchin 😢

The little street urchin 😢

Somewhere shuffling amidst my inner imagination

I see a little street urchin, suffering from the cold and dreadful dehydration

Yet I haven’t got the foggiest, so I do not know why

This poor soul should appear as clear as crystal within my mind’s eye..

But there she lies on the corner of a street

With worn out old soles on her hoes and sore blisters on her feet

Now I can see her quite clearly, snuggled up inside a dirty sleeping bag

With her close, caring companion  Sooty, who’s tale doesn’t often wag..

Eeh my heart reaches out to thstarved soul

Coz beyond my imagination there are some things, that even I cannot control

I mean, why on earth did this awful image pop into my mysterious mind?

I can only hope to fabricate a compassionate passerby, who will take great pity on her, with a wealth of warmth that is both honest and kind…

Incomprehensible that homelessness should still be a "thing" in our society. Poor souls x
