The love poet

Ā
tall, those trees of wisdom
who's swaying called her forth
heavy hung with fruit of life
and fallen, chance was caught
to hand the apple of her mind
a ripeness purely wrought
whilst gazing through a waterfall
to pen poetic thought
riding waves on turning tides
cadence ebbed onto her lips
nurtured longing, loves embrace
a murmur gently slips
now there upon her parchment
a harlequin of words
a rhapsody,Ā enchantment
not spoken, never heard
as lush tongue touches palate hollow
in perfection now she mouths
to purr a silent consonant
count syllables allowed
then soulful bathed poetic eyes
each droplet poured imparts
the pulsing romantic mystery
of her gentle beating heart

Just absolutely stunning...I imagineĀ a young lady in a beautiful setting inspired to write āĀ
I wrote this for a lady who wrote romantic poetry on another site. Her poetry was top rate and I tried to emulate her style in her use of metaphor. It took me a while to adapt and in the process I learned a lot.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words.
