The Manipulator

The Manipulator

She looked like an angel who could do no wrong,
Loved by everyone she met,
She was able to fool those around her,
But not me,
For I knew her for the monster, she was on the inside.

She could destroy your reputation in a minute,
Her speciality was to blame the victim,
And everyone would take her side without a second thought,
After this happened a few times, I felt horrible,
My first experience of hatred.

There were nights I would close my eyes and see her,
Smiling wickedly at me,
Already making up her next excuse to earn pitty,
How I despised her,
By the time I wanted to cut my ties, she had moved on,
Leaving me with a horrible emotion that still haunts me.
