The Melody Of The Finite

The Melody Of The Finite

I will never recoil.
Not amongst such wonders of a face.
Amid a boiling point, desperation flutters—
May my hands nurture the ground my pitiful effort has gained.
Not shrivel at the sight of every grain that is drained.
May I beg and toil amid thy gaze
If only to be announced — my presence remains.
These lofty towers of composure —beat down on me the same
However I recognize long epics—soldier’s legacies unstained.
Never will I return in lonesome vain
While you puncture my soul —all the same.
Crumbling domains are skipped like stones
In a roundabout way—it is alike your gaze.

Wo! This hymn! This knell in my ears—stretching it’s fingers and abounding my fears,
Entrapping my spirit—entombing my impermanence
Tho it matters not—
Lo! My depraved soul.
Accept the offering, the toll.
For whatever may be—be forever more
Allow this grace—a perpetual moment of your time.
Desperately—I’ll forever scramble for each and every dime.
A tenet of the body—allow a glimpse of your soul
All the while—the bell tolls!

Each grain befalls,
yet I remain.
Beneath your gaze—akin with the floor.
How entrancing is incessant demise
Wholly focused—upon my innocence
The unabashed actuality—the intent of my own
If only for a moment—a breath till it’s famished.
How beautiful a thing it is.
Allow me reprieve—for no face could compare
Every path wound and you are the knot.
Humbly, I beg—shudder and relinquish my footing
Humming spectral dreams—this ground I’ve conquered is awarded your eternal symphony
