The Mermaid, The Sea, And Me

The softened sounds of the singing sea, I hear when I’m with you;
Salt air’s aroma of passions scents, as we pledge our love so true!
Your waves of tress that trickle down, and fall above your knees;
Like the longest stems of kaled kelp, that grow beneath our sea!
You washed up on its shore one day, a mermaid, beauties pure;
I looked at you and fell in love, my heart did you allure!
I picked you up and kissed your lips, your tail disappeared;
Poseidon gave his daughter “me”, for he knew that “you”, I so revered!
Now we frolic in the surf each day, its waters cleanse our souls;
At night we lay upon its beach, in love, we all night hold!
The oceans’ spray will wake us up, as the tide comes rolling in;
Then another day in Paradise, we’ll lovingly begin!
The sea and we are soulmates now; it loves us very dear;
And sometimes your Father sounds his horn, to tell us he is near!
We’ll live forever by our sea, and share our purest love;
As your Aunts and Uncles watch us kiss, from Mount Olympus far above!
