THE MISERABLE MAN

The miserable man is downright sad
Been this way since he was a little lad
I have never seen a smile appear on his face
Goes about his life at an upsetting pace

The miserable man doesn't appreciate what he has
Food on the table and a house heated by gas
Always looks like he will burst into tears
Has been the same for a good number of years

The miserable man doesn't laugh at funny things
Everyone knows the happiness that brings
Maybe he will finally be happy when he dies
That will shock him into laughter at the surprise
