The Moon

The Moon

Illustrious mistress
Show us your secrets
Reveal to us the beauty
Of all that you know.
Oh beautiful maiden
Show us the true path
At night you are with me
Wherever I go.
Please do not deceive me
You are wise as a serpent
And white as a dove
In the darkening sky.
Please don’t drive me crazy
With your beauty and charm
Let me sleep in your glow
Please don’t do me any harm.
So majestic is your way
Dancing across the sky
A slow dance that lasts
Until day.
Enchanting goddess
Luring many with your light
Making us stumble and stare
In total delight.
