The new girl...

The new girl...

Say my name - just say it....
roll the sounds around your tongue.
Fashion your lips - to expel the breath-to create the word...
Just once look my way, not in that' just having a look around' way but seek me out...hold my gaze....just for a second..but long enough forĀ  me to perceive it..
Let that glorious light of recognition illuminate your dark and impenetrable eyes, seeing the passion kindling in mine and knowing you have a power over me....
Feel the nape of your neck begin to shiver with anticipation of warm lips brushing that delicious spot you find irresistible,Ā
And as you walk past, brush my shoulder languidly....
Leave a lingering memory of your presence -Gucci 'Guilty Absolute'...are you ready to take a leap of faith?Ā
To smile and say 'hello you're new aren't you'
Show me the coffee machine!- point out the fire exit!-Ā  ask me to dinner...anything ...but see me...just see me
All I ever see is you......
Ā

Let that glorious light of recognition illuminate your dark and impenetrable eyes, seeing the passion kindling in mine and knowing you have a power over me....

Such sensuality from nothing but a gaze...such power in a look which speaks of true recognition and acknowledgement...is borne of experience, not merely creative imagination. We've probably all been there; yearning to be seen...really seen...by that person whom we can see only too clearly...even when our eyes are closed.

Beautifully, brilliantly captured and brought to life.

Hi Jason, you are so right aboutĀ  this being borne from experience!!! ...but mine was having a crush on a boy at school in the year above me- who I thought was soooo dynamic as he wasĀ  a milk monitor and weirdly attractive asĀ  he always had a strong whiff of plasticine about him!!he never noticed me tho....It stays with you forever I think!Ā  Thank you for your lovely words and so pleased that you enjoyed it

A milk monitor with a strong whiff of plasticine about him?! Sounds like you were in love with Morph!! Well...the heart wants what the heart wants, I suppose...

Hi Lodigiana, you really capture that new girl, the whole piece was so visual and filled with the longing to be seen and nervous tension of a work place crush
