The Page

The Page

The blankness of the page,

With it’s solemnest grin

Paper will never speak,

It cannot let you in

Words they do not peak

In matter of the grey

Leaving but a sheet

Of whitest end of day

:) When I see a blank sheet of paper I have the urge to write something on it ! A clean page is an opportunity to create...a chance to put ideas or imagination into a solid structure !!

You have a gift for writing and must seek this stimulation to reach a point where artistry of poetry becomes obsessive. :)  Continuous writing is good for the soul and allows a release of all that others hold inside. The climax of endeavour is pure satisfaction with a looking back on all that has been achieved with some pride !

Keep up the wonderful work.

Love, hugs. xxx  :)

Oh wow thank you Richard, writing is definitely becoming a huge obsession, I find putting my feelings down on paper really helps me stand back from them and deal with them form an onlookers perspective rather than my own...You are very kind and as always I very much appreciate your comments..

Leaving but a sheet
Of whitest end of day.

To every writer, there's nothing more terrifying than an empty page. Well...every writer, except YOU, that is!! You've really hit a purple patch of late, Lorna.
I love everything you have written this last while. Truly! It's as though you've found and captured a Muse and now you're overworking the poor little Greek nymph for all she (or possibly he!?!) is worth!!

This present piece is so beautifully written; tender, intriguing and elusive...whatever it is that the poet wants to put on the page is there in the room with her...but just out of reach.

Mesmerising!!

I can see I'm going to love all your work.. The picture drew me in because I have many that are similar and I love to write about what I see inside the picture.

Your words were perfect for those of us who can relate to purging ourselves to the page.  At the end of the day there is the white.. I love it.. That is the symbol that everyday we get to start anew.. xo

Hey Miss CAIZLEY!!......VERY creatively cool!!.....I can almost see this popping out of your eloquence........ but I must say...... as much as people say they deal with writer's block .....I have NEVER succumbed to the idea...... to me.....a blank sheet of paper is heaven...... and I am upset and must run directly to the store if I run out of its inspirational beckoning!!.......ALL STARS!!...... cool stuff........LOVE and ROCKETS!!.......T xo. ?✳✴☀

Hi Lorna!  Hope this finds you well!  This reminds me of when a poem title comes to mind but due to other commitments or the poem taking time to develop, a bit of frustration emerges as the blank page awaits...  Have a great day!*!*!

Hey,

I agree with all the above,it usually takes me days to construct a poem, and is quite frustrating at times but so rewarding when it starts to resemble a peice of art with feeling sentiment or humour.

I choose to work only in rhyme, but do do envy the flowing words of your writings and those of the other poets on this page.
