The Peregrine

Stonehawk arrow messenger
beyond the sharp edge
of sheer sky,
anchored in clouds
upon the blades of wings,
ethereal sky warrior
where mountain cliffs rise.

Passion fills the heart
in a burst of electric spirit fire,
that sparks and ignites
the clouds and sunlight,
seizing shadows in a plummeting
swooping, swerve and dive,
a tempest storm with talons drawn
and Apollo´s eye red with dawn.

Set upon the ledge, sculptured and
hewn statuesque numeral of time,
forged by thunder anvil stone and sky
betwen the vivid void
of every breath and heartbeat,
messenger of death and life
between Earth´s vast canyons
and immortal light.

Master of the Moon and starlight
the arc of the Sun and Earth
in meteor flight.
