Poem -

The Queen takes pawn

The Queen takes pawn

I meant to be your man
I thought I was the only one
I was supposed to be the fun
I was old you were young
We were both on the run
Love would last till the dawn
The Queen takes the pawn
The King has got the crown
Nobody knew where we're from
Or knew where we'd have gone
We didn't know how far we'd come
We knew we're going to be alone
The game wouldn't last the dawn
The Queen takes the crown
The King has lost the throne.

Delightful rhythm - "love would last till the dawn" too short as a joke?

Hey honey your song is not bad
But the words are all wrong...

There won't be another chance
