The River

Lovely water flowing the
river runs so free.
It bounces and splashes and races to the sea.
It doesnt seem to mind that it cannot change its course.
That no matter what happens it must go its direction past me.
let the storms come and the rain pour this river overflows.
In the dry summers it slows her down and lazy is her way.
I have lived near this Kern river and lived alot of life.
As I watch the seasons come and go
How it is reflected in her waves.
It reminds me of Gods plan for us
that is steady as this river.
How his spirit flows to every living thing nourishing and bringing life.
Changing our lives like the water changes that river.
