The River At Nightfall

Will you dance alone again tonight
In your chamber drenched of tears
Where love and dreams conflate but never rise
And all that is beautiful descends to disappear
To behold the amor in others
Foments a massacre inside your heart
Though not from spite nor envy
But reminiscent of how you could be
In the embrace of an other's arms
Lost in the promise of youth
Where chance is but a thickened veil
When time is fickle, dissimilar to you
And the future refused to wait
For years your heart's been shattered
Entangled deep within the glass
Clinging to a quaint reflection
And time you let matter
That much more with every scar
And you will dance alone again tonight
With your razor drenched of tears
Where love bleeds out as fate arrives
In that funeral dress you eventually wear
And in the last light of loneliness
You cry your final breath
As flesh parts for the river crimson
To resume a life devoid in death

This is a sad and heavy write with alot of depth, it makes me cry and wish I could take away depression from so many desperate souls.
A magnificent yet hard hitting poem Ian, I hope all is well with you.
Love and light.
