The Scream (Daily Howl)

Sometimes I feel like killing myself,
Perhaps an expression of my mental health
I am reminded of the words
“This be the verse”
And see this as a kind of curse;
Though it’s not merely the unpleasant things
Parents will say
That cause self- doubt; it may well be
Comments by others, said thoughtlessly
And as an adult these things go round your head;
Depression (perhaps) wishing you were dead;
And you read in the news of chaos and confusion;
But is it all exaggeration and confusion?
Who really knows?  There are always contradictions
And knowing suicide is selfish and is not the way
You drink and toss and turn and awaken the next day.
To the same uncaring complex world.
