The Sea Horses

The Sea Horses

How beautiful you are, each one a blue grey star,
floating next to each other, seen lovely from afar;
you destroy my coral with man's chronic unthinking,
whilst I may be really dying with my final blinking.

I have my babies which I will give to my partner,
who will guard them with his care and laughter,
when the time is right, he will release them to cosmos,
who will appreciate finesse instead of some of us.

We dreamed that you may take some kind of care,
rather than thoughtless pollution, do you want to scare
or did you forget your pathetic position on this Earth,
we disown you and are more than what you're worth.

You should continue to appreciate all under the sea,
don't try to fabricate or destroy any sacred mystery.
