THE STORM WITHIN

THE STORM WITHIN

He led me through the darkest days
And though I could not see
I struggled in my blindness
As He kept watch over me
My heart was filled with pain and sorrow
I tried my best to understand
When I felt the most alone
I felt His love, firsthand
Sometimes He calms the raging storm
Sometimes He lets it run free and wild
Sometimes it's not about the storm
But the calming of His child
After the storm had passed
God's treasures washed upon the shore
I learned; What can't defeat you
Will give you strength to rise once more
I tasted of His tender mercies
I was strengthened by His grace
He was there, right in the middle
Calming His child, in a loving embrace
