The Sweet darkness of the Story Teller (dedicated to Poetessdarkly)

Like 1 Pin it 1Dive into the cool blue waters
of the sweet story teller; this one’s for you Liza:
when soul-less men roamed the world for plunder
creatures of the briny waters silently did whisper
neath the cloak of night hunting mortals seeking glory
ravaging scavenging the prestine wide Sargasso Sea
some saw the breasts of mermaids when they leaped
beneath the waves to endless sleep, some saw
leviathan eat their wooded vessels with one bite
names, faces lost forever in the dead of night
only the silence of the blushing moon left to protest
frothing blackish waters contentedly at rest
rocking quiet as the flight of a butterfly
inspiring the rhythm of the mariners’ lullaby
only the sweet dark story teller truly will ever know
the mystery of dead forgotten sailors lost long ago
