THE SYMPATHY VOTE 2

We want some skill and mystique - not pique,
don't always expect compassion from what you may seek;
I have been in dark rooms but I won't tell you,
why should I bore you with what I've been through.

Find yourself a counsellor, some professional advice,
because this continual gloomy tirade is not very nice,
we can all gain kudos from life's terrible queue,
but why should I tell you the things I've been through.

I have to listen to you - sometimes there is no choice,
every house I go to, on the radio, I hear the same voice,
do the impossible - for goodness sake, let's have less blue,
and you won't have to listen to what I've been through.

Don't get me wrong - in fact, it's best if you get me right,
I want you to gain acolades but only from a positive light.
