The technology age

I'm not to good with computers
Or todays modern technology age
I'm use to sending my mails the old fashion way
By writing on a copy book page

The words that i am accustomed with
It have a double meaning today
So i have to try to understand it
And be careful  in what i say

But it is still so confusing 
It will take me some time to catch along
But let me try to explain it you
So you can tell me if I'm right or wrong

An application was for employment
And a program was a TV show
And a cursor was some who uses profanity
And a keyboard was on a piano

And memory was something that you lose with old age
And a CD was known as a bank account
And if you have a corrupted disk
It will pain as hell when you found out

But today these words have a different meaning
In the internet society
So i trying my best to catch up
With the modern technology

Compress was what you did with the garbage
It was not something had to file
And if you unzip anything in public
You was going to jail for a while

Ram is known as a male goat
And hardware you buy material to build your house
And caps is to wear on your head
And you use to set traps to catch a mouse

Saving was putting away your money
And a key was to open your door
A frame was to put your picture 
And cookies was to eat and ask for more

A hard drive was a trip on the bumpy road
And log on was adding wood to a fire 
Host was when family come by your home
Playing on line was outside swinging on a wire

Cutting you did with a pocket knife,
Pasting you had todo it with glue.
The Web was where a spider lived
And a virus was when you getting the flu!

Spreadsheet you would have on your bed
And moniter Would be walking down the school hall
And for secruity you would need a body guard
And operating was done by docters in the hospital 

Yes it will take me some time to catch on
That i know for sure
And the way the technology age keeps changing
I will have to learn a whole lot more
