The Towel I Have Never Forgotten

    Inspired by Kieran1369’s comical poem “The Forgotten Towel”
 .
Some years ago on a Panama Canal cruise, Ocho Rios was the first stop;
We got there after breakfast, and had most the day to shop!
We went with another couple, that we had befriended on the ship;
They were lots of fun to be with, we were having a blast on this great trip!
.
The first store that we went into, sold clothing and beach accessories;
Hanging down from a wire, was an item that so excited me!
It was the loveliest of beach towels, a hot Jamaican woman laying there;
She was in a tight-fitting bikini, and had gorgeous waist length hair!
.
It was priced at just ten dollars, I tucked it right under my arm;
I’d never seen a sexier thing to lay on, with such erotic charm!
But when I showed it to my Linda, saying, “This I’m going to buy”;
She gave me a very scary look, as something went awry!
.
“No way in the whole wide World, would I let you buy that towel”;
“To lay atop another woman, and break your wedding vows”!
I said, “My sweetest, it’s just a piece of cloth, nothing from it will come”;
But I returned it to its hanger, to please my darling “Sugar Plum”!
.
.
                Twas just a towel
            My wife was so jealous of
               That I would lay on

Honoured to be the inspiration for this wonderful piece of workÂ

Hi Kieran,
The moment I saw the title of your poem, "The Forgotten Towel", it ignited this hilarious memory of the "important" towel in Linda's and my life.
I thank you so much for the inspiration.
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
