The White Birch

Misty blue is the sky today as it is now autumn
There is still sunshine in the early hours I can see and feel it through the many paths of trees
Some walnut mostly white birch my favorite
As a small stream of creek trickeled down over the old cobble like stones
Jumps a small bass and then a bullfrog follows him
The shadows of the tree limbs are so beautiful as they reflect in the water
Then on the other side of the grassy bank are cat tails with thier brown fuzzy tall coverage
A six point buck followed by its mate graze in the background like a portrait on the wall
Still the squirrels run round and round the pine trees
But the most beautiful sight I have ever seen is the white birch trees
On a cool autum day with the leaves falling into the breeze
I want to live with this feeling of nature at my feet
Forever and a day
