Poem -

The White Blanket

You're kneeling next to me,
Your knees deep in the blanket,

Your eyes on the frozen sea,
Swearing you won't forget,
What we did to get here,
And the evil things we did out of fear.

You slowly rise,
Your gorgeous eyes full of stars,
Your sparkling hair partially covering them.

With pride in your scars,
And with dignity at heart,
You and me part.

The falling powder in the wind,
Makes you into a hazy smudge,
As this nightmare comes to an end,
And you begin to trudge away,
Into the chilling unknown,
And from your well deserved thrown,

That lies in comets and cosmos,
Off the chart,
Where no one goes
And in my heart,

Where I'll always have a place for you,
Your glittering hair,
Your spectacular eyes,
And their loving stare.
