Poem -
The Winged Lion
On the wing of a bird, she lies like exquisite amber pebbles in a sea of neither, emerald nor jade, but a colour of mystery and secrets that seep from her every pore and wash her marbled steps of Enchantment
From, far below her golden ceilings and lavish art, her decomposing columns defy an earthly impossible dream, resisting their demise into the putrid slime, to hold up the majesty and poise of eloquent perfection
At her soul, an unrivalled eminence that enraptures the mere mortals who sail to her brim of aqueous grace, slowly, languidly, silently dying, she smiles at the world, knowing, she is the lion with wings among her inferior realms

Oh my, thank you! I'm a little stunned, as this is my first attempt at showing my poetry to anyone and so feel nervous to expose myself in this way. I am also dyslexic so am a little apprehensive as to my ability to write.
