A Worthy Wait

She said  she would wait for the  door to be opened by the right person
She refused to let others in, Â as allowing them would have been like burglary
Her intent was to present herself intact, to lose her innocence to the right person
To someone who would hold and protect her heart, loving, caring for her with a concrete promise for an everlasting love and to cherish her gift of waiting
She never wanted it to be like losing something but finding something
Where she lose it, there her heart should be and remain forever
Â
We all thought she was crazy
We said she was a fool for being so strong
We said it’s only a myth and a fallacy indeed
It’s just a first experience after all, like every other, we said
We reminded her that her ripening body would wither untasted in the vine
Â
She said she could cross to our side and be like us
But we can’t be like her as we’ve only got one to loose, which we’ve lost
It’s like a bubble, one prick and it’s gone and can never be put back again
Â
The moment she saw him
She knew why she’s waited
A lover and a friend she  found in him
They  waited for the vows
 their innocence intact
They lost it to each other after the vows
A concrete promise and a tangible term of eternity
Â
They say passion fades but theirs is a miracle
It’s several years now, and it’s as strong and ever-changing
As the first night they came together
She’s glad she waited and gave it to him
As it makes her feel prized and worthy
Â
It was a worthy wait after all!

Hi Sweet Rose,
Worth the "wait" in gold, to bless your soulmate with your greatest treasure is the pure way it was meant to be. The peer pressure today on young girls is deafening. For the few that hold fast, the first union is not only opening her legs, but opening her soul and merging it with her mates forever. You have written a wonderful story of the girl with the iron will, the girl that waited for the "Worthy Cause".
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
Hello Larry,
Thanks a so much for reading through and for your words of wisdom. It's really very difficult to "wait" in this generation. Nobody sees it as a treasure anymore. It's seen as "one of those things". But it takes determination and tenacity for one to be able to pull through the peer pressure.
Thanks a lot. I'm inspired
Hugs.....Lots of love
