Them

Them

They petrify my heart,
turn it into stone.
But it might be better,
than being alone.
They give me affection,
oh, how they love me so.
And if anything were to happen,
I would be sad to see them go.
They still shatter my heart,
into a million pieces.
And I don’t know,
if my love ever increases.
They make me feel,
like the only person in the room.
They take me on a journey of happiness,
with no gloom.
They kill my dreams,
one by one.
This one gone, that one gone,
now they have won.
But even though,
they love me so.
Oh why, oh why,
I have to go.
