There And Back Again

There And Back Again

Oh there, oh there we go,
there and back again.
And to the hill we go,
we’ll get there when and then.
Along the way we’ll think,
about the very long trips.
And all along the way we’ll make,
some very witty quips.
Everyone will join in,
to our old song of cheer.
Except the loner in the back,
they’ll shed a single tear.
Then we would laugh,
and shout words of glee.
And once I turn around I see,
oh the loner, crying under the beech tree.
I go up to him and see,
his young face filled with sorrow.
And I think he’ll still be lonely,
even for the morrow.
But of course, no one cares,
about the poor kid in the corner.
And they’ll never know the story,
of this lone young mourner.
But to the hill we go,
we’ll get there when and then.
Oh there, oh there we go,
there and back again.
