There is a difference.

I wish it could be that simple.
Maybe it would make things easier.
But, that's not how life is.
That's not where we're at.
And this is not where I want to be.

Many nights pass where I long for you.
Not a moment passes where I miss you.
I would be a fool if I denied it.
I would be a liar if I said nothing.
That would mean I didn't love you.
That would mean I didn't care.

I hear the words that you tell me.
That there is no difference,
When it comes to a woman.
Or what she gives to a man.
I don't believe that for one second.

No one person is the same.
Nor is what that person offers.
Same can be said with who you love.
And how you love that person.
Things may look the same. 
Things may seem the same.
But no one thing is ever alike.
