"This is MY LIFE!"

"Where there was once countless hours,
of hopelessness and dismay,
I now see them as hours to fall to my knees and pray,
for maybe better days to come,
or maybe for more days,
to Breathe In The Son,
and I am grateful,
I survived the atrocious damage I've done,
to myself and others,
people I call friends,
my brothers and sisters.

A life less chaotic,
A vision God has shown me,
I've seen,
what my life can and will look life,
if I try hard and stay clean.

So to hell with the bottle,
to hell with the drugs,
for no true man,
can in the same hand,
call himself a thug.
I'm done with just being a pitless shell,
living each day as if,
I were in Hell,
because this is MY LIFE,
it's my story to tell,
and honestly I think I tell it so well,
I will spare no details,
I'll speak only facts,
I'm gonna stay clean,
and I won't take it back!"
