A thousand miles  away the sun rises and set
Just like any day.
The wind blows through the trees,
the air is crisp and fresh
nature everywhere you look.

away school starts and ends
Just like any day.The classes are long
extra school work tedious
the opportunities endless.

Just like any day; but it’s not.
Her mind has traveled
to thoughts or memories
to feelings.

thoughts rushing through her head
