Three Little Birds

Three little birds 
left their nests 
to see the world
around 
They flew and they flew
and saw the sights 
that grew 
and was merry as could be.
Till the day came when 
 the wolf came to town
To devour the pretty birds!
the birdies grew scared
their feathers grew ruffled.
the birdies grew irritable 
they stayed together no longer..
the first birdie made
a house of wood
and hid under the table
The wolf he came
And he saw no door
and he chomped the birdie down..
The second birdie took the train
and her bones were found on rails..
But the third bird was undaunted!
she walked the road
with her birdie friend 
late one day
a bus pulled up 
and that day she met
the Ferryman who took
her to inferno...
she was found on the road
her feathers were plucked 
her flesh mutilated 
she lost one eye too
the wolf he left
the town in prowl of the next 
little birdies
