Tiger Stripes

Tiger Stripes

In the forest of the night

Black and yellow, orange, white, aĀ brilliant design

Tiger, tiger burning ever so bright

No other could take your strength of the golden paw or eye

What enter into the depths of your mind and the jungle sky?

Who would dare to lay hand upon your beauty on fire?

When your heart beats, it beats to the drum of quest

What dread upon the native feet, that seek you none the less?

Tiger, tiger, why must the sky reflect your blindness

To those who dread to lay their feet upon your ground

Fearful are those who can not see your tiger stripes

For those who know art so well, remain far away and only dwell

For your beauty is the strength of the child of life, who know you well

Tiger stripes be in my dreams tonight, as I lay down

I feel your soft purring love for life, protecting me with all your stripes
