Time
Such sorrow in a single tear
borne of pain
bright with fear.
A shimmering prism of soundless screams
of empty words
forgotten dreams.
A swirling eddy of things no more
a future gone
a closing door.
A beautiful captor imprisoning hope
no support
no way to cope.
Liquid fire searing your skin
yet cold inside
darkness within.
Such sorrow in a single tear
to show you
why I left you here.
