A Time For Fireworks
Let us get in the mood for picnics and parties
For fishing and boating, for swimming and living
The celebration of history, the event of a century long ago
The red, white and blue, the fireworks in the sky, the sparklers of delight
The pride of the town, the birthday of the library, the knowledge for wisdom
Young child, and grey seniors, will never put down the books
Look up information, read the best of the best, tell the stories at book club
After school programs, and summer fun reading, games, and crafts, even face painting
And the village of the town will celebrate a great day of one hundred twenty-five
Years, the Ransom victory, the legacy of a future, the park will fill up
The cake and pie will be eaten, the tours will be given, and the town will lay down
Their blankets for the evening will never end, until they see the sky light up
With a promise of history to be shared with all kin
For the years not pass by without the cheers of goodbye
And the towns people will live happily ever after in the zip code of their minds
Blow out the candles before you say goodnight and keep the light on for sharing
A time for fireworks with birthday candles in the sky
