Stop for a minute

Tik tok, Tik tok 
Bells chime 
 It’s time to get up, rise and shine
Shining do I have to? I can just about rise 
Stick my head in the pillow to muffle the cries
Is it ok to let today slide?
I don’t want to face the world, I just want to hide 
I don’t want to get up and participate in the world
I want to be alone,  I’m not a lonely girl
Just a day away to gather myself
Getting out of bed can be hard in itself
Sometimes life can get too much
When you yourself become the crutch
Have a YOU day to collect your thoughts 
Sit back and let you body talk
Rest is not a wasted time,  it’s feeding your mind
Don’t feel guilty,  off days are telling you it’s time to unwind
