Time Stands Still- And Passes So Quickly

The weeks seem to fly by
Like the blink of an eye
Yet memories of where I
Used to live- and people I knew-
It seems like yesterday.

There's a kind of raw emotion
Attached to these memories.
Yesterday?- no it wasn't.
But it might as well have been.

Do these things make such an
Imprint upon my mind?-
I suppose they do.
Yesterday's gone but

Perhaps we call it "yesterday" for a reason?
