To my Best ex-friend
Part I I

Dear Best ex- friend,
I'm sorry for the way things went....but the truth is ? I felt hurt.
When you said you were leaving I felt like a part of me died.
I felt like I got stabbed in the back and you didn't care.
I felt like you wanted to erase everyone you knew including...ME.
I liked the idea how we were so different but yet the same in ways.
I liked how you liked older men, I liked how we ate organic baby
spinach and drank high end liquor because no one else wanted too.
I miss how you rented outrageous cars and then how you'd pick me up.
I miss how things would go wrong because nothing was meant to be right.
I remember when you got so wasted and you threw-up in the uber car and
I was stuck paying for it. I'm not mad anymore I'm just................
I'm sorry for the way things went... .but the truth Is? I felt hurt.
I miss going to the House of pies.
Remember when we drove all the way to the Woodlands just so you could go see that guy?
Remember our crazy adventure in Kyle when you thought I was going to get sick because they "accidently" served me raw chicken?
I just hope your warm under the sun and I hope you found someone who understands you better then I did. I hope the stars align for you.....Everyone has their reasons for erasing people and places, but you cant erase memories.
But the truth is ....I learned that just because you miss someone?.. it doesn't mean you need them.
I dont need you, I just miss the memoires.
And you know what?- memories never die.
I'm not mad anymore I'm just..................
To my Best ex-friend

A speech from the heart. Not much to say, I have full respect here Hely, such a personal poem and such a powerful message. And now is the point in my comment to say somthing like "life is a journey" or some other advice. But to be honest, I have learnt that moving on is different for everyone. So peace to you and the journey you are taking. Kudos to an excellent poem.
