To Purge
I drew the picture myself
Shock rushes through your very bonesĀ Ā
To rise and fall like waves of a restless seaĀ Ā
Plunging your heart deep into the cavity of an abyssĀ Ā
Where all those go ā that are amissĀ Ā
You succumb to feeling numbĀ Ā
The present now out of placeĀ Ā
No traceĀ Ā
No hintĀ Ā
Not a single glintĀ Ā
From what once felt so realĀ Ā
A tangible beingĀ Ā
To touchĀ Ā
To smellĀ Ā
To hearĀ Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā¦. Now you feelĀ Ā
As they persist to exist in your mindĀ Ā
You accept in vainĀ Ā
This insane reality that breeds fearsĀ Ā
At last -Ā Ā
You purge your grief with tears

Wow! . . . WOW!Ā I am almost speechless, Gwen. Firstly I am just going to say, your art work is fantastic! It really is. This picture you drew/painted should be in a gallery. You can almost wipe that tear way with your finger and expect to get it wet! ššššĀ 'king brilliant!!
The poem is just superb? Just like the picture shows a real tear so does your poem show full emotion. It reeks of emotion that the reader can actually feel. Amazing work... an artist in every sense of the word. WOWww!!!
