Poem -

Together Forever

They hastily vowed that
they would stay together forever,
Then came the life that they gave
together.

In a way, every day, with each praise,
your grace moved my ways.
Your palms warmed my shoulders,
I thought this was forever.

One day, there goes the glassware.
Then goes the tears.
From a far away island I looked upon
the shattered pieces which,
shined at your foot.

When will this all end,
and how was it going to be?

You say that you've been blessed with me,
yet marriage, the grievance you can never
cease. Among all the negativity,
I was to blame for tying your
hands together, forever,

forever.

With time, your lips paralyzed.

Replaced by the hollow looks in your eyes,
The sorrows and the misery,
that you are all blaming on me.
