Tompachie Green

Tompachie Green
By S.L. Northey
Imagine some color I have never seen
Within its mood I can start to feel it
Like somewhere beyond the evergreens
Some spackled bursts of brown and grey
Tompachie green is what I call it
This color in the mind somehow
Close my eyes and I can feel it
The sullen greens and the dappled greys
Tompachie green now I believe it
Its soul, this color so full in me
In my mind I can more than imagine it
A color my eyes have never seen
The mind like the soul's open canvas
Sending its emotions so completely free
Streaming its spirit to the mind's open eye
I think I will call it, Tompachie Green

This was written after a vivid dream and my soul was showing my mind a color that filled all space. When I asked what it was because I have never seen it, a voice said, "Tompachie Green....anything you believe it to be". I interpret this as a poem of how the soul speaks to you.
