Words Of Mine

Words Of Mine

Words Of Mine

By S.L. Northey

So mesmerized the so unseen
A far off place as though a dream
Profound its meaning as captured this time
That instant as so meant to be

Box of chocolate and an open book
Her gaze seemed so un straining
Lost between pages first and last
A reverence that I must obey

After a while her look so thoughtful
Apologetic look how long have you been
An acknowledgement glance, it's your time
In silence unwinding as she reads

Pointed Her query about stopping then
The book in her hand so clearly mine
It was the words I wrote, that's how you found me
A love you may own for the rest of time
