Trichotillomania

This is a condition, I myself suffer from. I want to share with my followers and readers. This is something that not many people have heard of, so the more people that becomes aware (especially those in the hair and/or mental health profession) The better chance of us sufferers getting the help we so desperately yearn for.
I want to share a problem
Its something that most dont know
I hide it the best i can
But its really beginning to show,
Not just the obvious signs
That people notice with a stare
I don't realise what im doing
Till i see im covered in hair,
I have dents on my fingertips
Because of what i do
There is pieces of it everywhere
It's been on my plate too,
You see the problem i have
Is not one to just go away
I pull my hair, strand by strand
And keep hairdressers at bay,
I really want to stop this
It affects my daily life
Not only does it look a mess
But causes me some strife,
Im embarrassed by my 'habit'
And want my hair to grow
But i wont give it a chance
So i'll continue to lay low,
Its time for me to seek help
And stop the comfort thing i do
I hope this poem can help
Give you some motivation too,
Let us help each other
To learn to be pull free
No one understands, its not
easy up in that trichy tree,
One day we will all be confident
And not hide like we do
We will have locks to be proud of
Without the need of any glue
