Trick and Treat?

Let the season of the witch begin.
What with the ghouls and ghosties
and super hero spandex
The fall of 2019 starts.
With a President named Trump
and a wall down on the border.
Our country is definitely set up for
trick or treat.
Homelessness is at an all time high.
Los Angeles in tent cities by the thousands..
IT has the look of a futuristic refugee camp
and how appropriate that is.
The people are dying for the want of a cure.
The cure of greed from big pharmaceutical
companies and how they promoted their poison
pills of opiates..
The backlash of token correction is so flawed.
People still need a way to relieve pain.
They just dont need to get a thousand refils
I love the season of carving pumpkins and
raking leaves.
Of decorating my house and yard, of glowing
jack o lanterns with fearsome smiles.
Of remembering the All Hallows Eve tradition and
the thinning of the veils... and to buy
an extra  bag of Milky Way bars.
they are after all my favorites.
Oh, 
and pray for our leaders.. in these days of
early fall.
less tricks and more treats.. !
